In our teacher training (Initial Teacher Education, ITE) trainees are not just educated to be future teachers, they also have to pass assignments at Master level. In the RiTE project we have re-designed two of these assignments in our mathematics teacher training course, plus associated materials. The assignments comprise a critical review of some research literature on a pre-defined topic and a classroom study with some data collection. We have redesigned a cycle of sessions and materials to prepare trainees for these two assignments. Concrete outputs of this redesign include, among others: session materials for critical literature review, worksheets with tasks for trainees and screencasts of research articles. The resources can be useful for teachers, teacher educators and professional mentors.
